Hackers Gone Wild on WOW

On the 8th of October 2012, an unknown hacker causes massive havoc in the World of Warcraft by killing every single online characters. They appear to have the ability to instantly kill players no matter where they are. An editor of website WoW Insider stated that this hack  is significant and they do not have any clue as to how this can be done. After this incidents, it is believed that the number of players has dropped significantly which causes quite a huge loss for the Blizzards company.

Torchlight II

About a week ago, I bought  a copy of Torchlight 2 from  Steam for $20 and decided to give it a go . As an experienced player of Torchlight 1, I find that the presentation of this game is very similar to that of the first one, with the exceptional of more dungeon exploring and looting. Now that I've spent hours of my leisure time playing this game, I will give you a general thought of my impression on it  When you first start the game, there are 4 classes that you can choose from: The EmberMage,  The Berzerker,  The Engineer, and lastly the Outlander. These are all the typical classes that will fill your RPG roles.

The EmberMage is basically just your range caster or mage. The Berzerker is a melee brawler and they utilizes beast magic. The engineer is a tank/support character that can play the role of an upfront tank or a healer. Lastly, the Outlander(my favourite class) are your ranger DPS(damage per second) with massive damage output .

One interesting aspect of Torchlight 2 and the world of action RPG is the new pet system.. The pets are sort of the second inventory slot, and you can essentially put items that would fill up your inventory normally in your pet inventory. In addition to that, you can send your pet to town and sell those item while you are in a combat! How amazing is that? They also provided us a great selection of pet to chose from, and not being limited to 2 or 3 different kinds but 8! You can select either a panther, bulldog, ferret,wolf, cat, papillon, chakawary or a hawk as one of your companion that will battle alongside you.

One thing that challenges me about this game is the fact that you can select different difficulty level. If you think that you are unstoppable and find that this game is too easy, how about you give the Elite difficulty level a go? Unlike Torchlight 1, here you can play co-op with your best mates and other people instead of soloing dungeons by yourself. Come on, who play games alone these days? However, if that is what you prefer, you are also given the 'Single player" choice. I myself prefer the co-op system whereby training, crafting and adventuring the world together and meet more people.

Dota- Defense of the Ancients

I believe that many of you have probably heard of this game one way or another but doesn't really know what it is. Well, that is understandable and I will be here to provide a basic review about this game. Firstly, I just wanted to let you guys know that Dota is a mini game/sub game from "Warcraft 3" or "The Frozen Throne". The objective of game is to destroy the main tower of your enemy's base with your hero and units.  There are 3 classes of heroes: Agility (High damage output and no HP), Strength (Moderate damage output and act as the shield) and Intelligence( Usually have high damage burst, Very low hp and act as a support). You control 1 hero and move around the map, killing other enemy heroes and towers to make your way to their main tower. Once the main tower of either side(Sentinel or Scrouge) is destroyed, the game will be over. An average game play  is usually around 30-45 minutes depending on the game mode selected by the host.As simple as it sounds, this game actually takes a lot of practise and strategic planning, as you will be versing other 'real players'. Teamwork is definitely a must, to maximize your chance of winning.

I would strongly suggest that you give this game a try, as it is extremely entertaining and a very addictive 2-D MMORPG with stunning graphics design that will bring back all the cute cartoony figures from your childhood. Unlike any other MMORPG, this game has over 20 unique jobs that can be transcended into, and each having a particular and specific set of skills, allowing you with a greater variation to choose from.  Choosing your basic class as warriors, archers, mages, thieves and more, you will be exploring forests and dungeons with groups or individually to slay monsters and fight your way through to the Dark Mage and show him the true strength that you have achieved from your hard work of training. Aside from just killing monsters and levelling up, there are also countless of fun and super challenging side quest for you to complete with a promising rewards.  One last note that I would like to leave you with: “Beware, this game is super addicting and you can end up spending lots of money on it, despite being a free online game”.
